Every morning I wake up to this. Now you can obviously see that I do not wake up to my boyfriend or partner. I wake up to my dog, Hugo. And you know what, sometimes that is a much nicer sight. Sure he may lick my face to wake me up cos it's his breakfast time and sure, thats really not the type of "good morning" kiss I like, but I'll tell you this, Hugo's breath is alot nicer smelling than some guys I've had the pleasure, or displeasure of waking up next to.Monday, November 3, 2008
This is what I wake up to every morning....

A pet is the only thing on this earth that u will ever receive unconditional love from.
As humans we yearn for that from our fellow beings and although some might think they have found it, it comes with a list of conditions: be faithful, be trusting, be respectful, we come first, put quality time in...work work work...conditions conditions!
We are our own worst critics, we worry about our looks, our weight, our jobs, our homes, cars, etc, we set goals and sometimes unrealistic expectations onto ourselves to appear happier, to experience love, to attain the perfect partner and keep them but a pet.....they love u no matter what!
u can be overweight, anorexic, an alcoholic, a murderer, a rapist, gay, black, asian, straight, a nerd and a list of other 'social undesirables', but your pet will always wag its tail at the sight of u, lick your face, find the warm spot on your feet, cuddle u on a cold night on the lounge, always (i'm sure hitler had a cat?)
relationships break up, children move from home, siblings lose touch, friends backstab eachother...but a pet will love u forever.
so every morning say to hugo 'thank u'...thank u for loving me when i thought no-one did, thank u for keeping me company on the nights when no-one else did, thank u for still wanting to be near me when i was sick, thank u for making me feel welcome after a long hard day at work.
should u worry 'but i need a man to treat me that way'...sure we need 'love' from a human, the physical and mental stimulation can be wonderful, but isn't that why we have vibrators and good books??!!!pant pant pant....
